Cardlink is a online fuel card management systems that enables fuel card holders to control and manage their fuel business.

A Cardlock is a fueling station that enables you to purchae fuel 24/7, 365 days a year with an approved UFA fuel card. A fuel card enables you to access UFA's entire cardlock network.

No, Dieselex Gold doesn’t have any cold flow or cold weather improvers in it. During the winter months a cold flow improver would have to be added on top of Dieselex Gold.

No there isn’t. Western Canadian refiners produce a seasonal fuel with the main difference being cloud point of the fuel. Cloud point is when wax crystals start to form in the fuel due to lower temperatures. Cloud point adjustment doesn’t affect the density or energy content of Type “B”– Automotive Low-Sulfur–diesel fuel from season to season. Refiners follow a strict cloud schedule based on province and zones within each province. Other operating characteristics of the fuel are very similar throughout each of the months within the year.

Cardlock are fuel stations that are specifically made for businesses and commercial vehicles and are not open to the general public without applying for a UFA fuel card.

You bet, our fuel comes from major suppliers in Western Canada who meet or exceed the standards set out by the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) and the World Charter of Fuel Cleanliness.

We then put it to the test with our Fuel Quality Assurance program. This program is designed to provide you with the high-quality fuels that give optimal power, efficiency, and engine performance. As part of our quality program, sampling is done across our Cardlock and bulk delivery network to get an accurate representation of the fuel that is being provided from our suppliers.

Retail and cardlock pricing are different because of how companies set their prices.

With cardlock, fuel pricing is adjusted daily and reflects the wholesale price changes from the previous day set by the 3 major refiners (commonly known as the “Rack Price”), plus the cost of transportation. This price fluctuates based on factors such as oil price, supply and demand, and refinery outputs.

Retail pricing is based on local market competition and can fluctuate dramatically. Retail prices typically do not change daily, as the retailers determine when and by how much they will alter the retail price.

Each customer’s price can vary based on several factors, the main one being annual volume, so there isn’t one standard price that could be posted. That is why we’ve introduced Fuel Pricing Online using Cardlink, so that you can see your price before you fill your tank.

At 4 cents per litre more than base diesel, Dieselex Gold’s cost is in line with other premium diesels. Dieselex Gold does more than the competitors by protecting your fuel during long-term storage from season to season, increasing horsepower, and increasing fuel efficiency.

Rack Price – this is the price set by the 3 major refiners, this price fluctuates daily.

UFA offers three types of fuel cards which allow you to purchase fuel 24/7-365 days a year at over 100 UFA locations across Alberta and at select locations in BC and Sask.

Both fuel cards allow access to any UFA cardlock enabling you to purchase fuel 24/7 - 365 days a year. You must have a UFA account to apply for a fuel card. A cardlock card requires UFA credit while a Fuel Link card enables you to pay at the cardlock using your VISA, Mastercard or Debit Card.

If you have a UFA account and approved credit, you can charge to your UFA Account at UFA Farm & Ranch Stores or Petroleum Agencies.

If you have a UFA account, sign in and select "apply for credit" under Credit Management.

Once your request is submitted, card(s) will be processed within 48 hours, and sent via mail (approx. 15-20 business days). If you require your card(s) sooner, please indicate a 'rush order' when placing the order.

You can limit Cardlock Card use by restricting Fuel Type, Litre Limits, Time of Day, Number of Transactions (per day/week/month), and/or Authorized Locations. (not applicable to CFN or Fuel Link cards)

There are specific required fields that will automatically print on the card such as the name of your account that cannot be changed. Up to 2 lines of text for each card can be customized. Eg) Adding unit number/vehicle number, driver name, etc.

UFA Cardlock and Fuel Link cards are accepted at more than 100 UFA fueling stations across Alberta and in to BC and Saskatchewan. CFN co-branded cards can also be used at more than 1000 fueling stations across the continental United States.

There are no fees or minimum spending requirements. Fuel Link requires payment at the time of purchase via VISA, Mastercard or Debit. Cardlock cards purchases must be within the approved credit limits.

If you are the account owner, or have been provided adequate permissions to manage cards, you can check the status of your card(s) by clicking Manage My Card under Cardlink. If you do not have permission to edit your card, or you need further assistance, please contact Customer Support at 1-877-258-4500 or email Cardlock@ufa.com.

Each fuel card has a unique PIN to secure transactions. To maintain security, do not share or write your PIN on the card. If your card is lost or stolen, you can temporarily suspend, cancel or reissue a card in Manage My Cards.
