Being recognized by your peers is always special and that is how our internal Top Hand program is modelled. Peer nominations are submitted from our Operations team, recognizing teammates who show a spirit of selflessness, are willing to help with tasks outside their normal responsibility, believe "good enough is never good enough," embody the co-operative spirit and/or rise above adversity.
Winning nominations, as determined by our in-store employees, are then sent to Regional Managers to pick the ultimate winners by area. Our quarterly Top Hands are rewarded with a special pin and gift cards that increase with additional wins.
We pride ourselves on exemplary customer service at all our UFA sites and strive to continuously improve. We do have a Rate Us survey set up for customer feedback where all comments received are valued and appreciated. The URL for this survey can be found at the bottom of our UFA till receipts. Hearing from our members and customers is always satisfying, but when a teammate gives you a shout-out, that is extra special.

Top Hand Winner – North
On Saturday, December 14, we had a customer send his grandson to town to grab a PTO adapter and he picked up the 540/1000. This turned out to be the wrong adapter, they needed a 1000/540 and they needed it to load grain the next day, Sunday. The customer was not going to be able to make it back to the farm store in time to exchange the PTO adapter as he lives 45 minutes away. To make this exchange possible, Flo volunteered to meet him on the highway to give him the correct part. This was truly exceeding expectations and offering exceptional customer service. Kudos to Flo from her team!

Top Hand Winner – Central
Nigel went above and beyond this fall by supporting the new Red Deer Farm & Ranch Supply store through setting up Product Line Reviews (PLRs), assisting with their Grand Opening and decommissioning the old Red Deer location. His support for Red Deer took place over three months during which time he continually stopped at the Olds farm store (after working a full day in Red Deer) to oversee PLR progress and act as receiver when the Olds receiver was away on vacation. Nigel maintained a wonderful attitude, executing his responsibilities at a very high level despite challenges with his vehicle. He personifies what the Top Hand award is about, being an exemplary team member.
